Lick of Approval is a Christchurch-based dog treat company with a big personality. Known for healthy, wholesome products and a genuine love of dogs. The brief was to build a brand and website that felt as fun and personal as the company itself, with the warmth and playfulness to connect with dog owners.
Logo & Branding
Playful enough to turn heads.
The identity leans into the brand's love of dogs at every touchpoint, with a tone of voice that's fun, warm, and unmistakably Lick of Approval. The logo was designed to resemble the swoosh of a dog's lick, while the typography and colour palette remain clean, consistent and easily used.
Website Design
A full e-commerce site designed and built to match the energy of the brand. A clear user journey with simple navigation ensures a smooth shopping experience for all customers. A blog allows for longer-form, personable content — from recipe testing to dog journal entries. Customisable cake ordering pages let customers build their own cake online, selecting size, colour, flavour, and decorations.
Social Media & Photography
Full social media management from strategy through to execution. This included all product and lifestyle photography – shot and styled to bring the brand's personality to life and build a genuine connection with their dog-loving audience.
